Interview: One of the Last

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Well, we were supposed to have an EP out a few months ago but with our drummer leaving and the world closing, it’s been pushed to sometime later this year. The 3 songs we’ve released so far have been overwhelmingly positive with our fans!

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

When it’s coming out! We don’t even know when that’s going to be!

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

It would depend on the type of song we create. Our genre (Hybrid Metal) is completely unique and it’s made up of hard rock, metalcore and thrash. There’s a lot of great artists out there but I think we’d love to work with Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour. He’s mastered both the rock and metal world and we’d love to see what he can add to a song!

How has your latest release been received?

Our latest track Shotgun has been very well received! We came out with a lyric video for it back in May and it’s been doing very well!

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

The song is about realizing you’re in an abusive relationship and the struggle to get out of it. It’s one of the heavier songs we’ve written and the lyrics pack a punch!

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

Well, just like most other bands, we have nothing going on at the moment due to the world closing. When it opens, we’re going to play as many places as we can! This pandemic taught us that everything can end in a heartbeat and we want to make sure we have no regrets!

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

The pinnacle would be Madison Square Garden in NYC. It’s Mecca for sports fans but also the biggest and best artists have played that arena. Something more doable would be Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre. Both are historical venues featuring the best up and coming bands. If you open a show there, you’re on the right path. If you headline and sell it out, you’ll have a rocket strapped to your back (metaphorically speaking)!

What else can we expect from in 2020?

Hopefully a new drummer but definitely new music, new videos and hopefully some shows! We’ll see what happens!
