Single Review: Seasick Steve – ‘Church Of Me’

Seasick Steve has released a new single, ‘Church Of Me’ in a teaser of what is to come from the full album release this Friday 24th July 2020.

Powered by the gritty, foot-stomping rhythm, the single rolls at its own pace, living and breathing in the raw bluesy tones that accentuate the single.

‘Church Of Me’ showcases that familiar country drawl of vocals on a backbeat your foot can’t resist the pull of.

The song of independence, self-belief and impossibly infectious lyrics are in a league of its own. You don’t realise the empowering effect it has until you notice you’ve matched your steps to the beat and are walking like a total badass!

The video is filmed on and around the coastlines of California and Australia’s gold coast and features Seasick Steve playing and rocking out to the massive mood-boosting track.

This taster for the ‘Love & Peace’ LP will not help with anyone trying to wait patiently for Friday’s release as the gnarly track pumps through with swaggering grit and sense of empowerment that you can’t help but want more.

The full album will be released on Friday 24th July 2020 in heavyweight clear vinyl packaged with a signed print of the cover. The album will be available on all streaming platforms or can be pre-ordered at Seasick’s official store at https://seasicksteve.tmstor.es/
