Interview: Mojo Alice

Answered by Bro-d – Guitarist of Mojo Alice

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Well the album came out September last year and it was really well received. We got a lot of positive feedback which gave us a lot of confidence. But to be honest I think we are not done with it yet. We are working hard to spread to word of our band and new people are finding us everyday so we believe there is a lot of life still in it!

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

Hmmm well we went old school and recorded the entire album live at Mojo HQ which is something you don’t see much anymore with all the processing and shit you see these days.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

Ozzy! Working and being in a band with Ozzy is the golden ticket for a guitar player so that would be the ultimate!

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

We do not currently have any tours booked as the whole “Covid” thing screwed things up. We are planning some gigs now and hopefully have some festivals over the summer, but we are also about to start writing the next album which we cannot wait to crack into!

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

I would love to play “The Whiskey” in LA one day. The history of the place with the whole LA scene would be something to brag about!

What else can we expect from in 2020?

Well, we just signed with “434 Management” in the USA which we are super excited about! The rest of 2020 will be writing new tunes and playing are few shows around New Zealand. Hopefully by 2021 we will be able to travel again and will look to be heading to the USA to tour in the Summer which would be a dream!
