Single Review: Elliott Always – ‘Return to Me’

The versatile North Carolina based trio, Elliott Always, are releasing their unique emotionally packed single ‘Return To Me’ on the 17th July 2020.

Meditating feelings of loss and heartache, Elliott Always use their cinematic ambience to mirror the pain of losing someone in their poignant and emotive new single.

Fluidity and sincerity fills the track as it washes through memories and the highs and lows of the nostalgic single.

‘Return To Me’ is highly influenced by the trio (Scott Lowder, Matt Vallaro, and Jason
Eckard), taking into account all their past experience working within other genres.

From folk to metal to alternative rock, Elliott Always piece their individual musical knowledge together amongst the quiet flare of the modern electric pop that drives the main genre.

Although the track never really builds like you would expect, the haunting echoing of the backing harmonies, quiet tapping of keys and delicate simplicity gives it the emotional charge and resonance it needed.

The band plan to release a series of singles this year and hopefully a full-length release set for 2021.
