Orignalrock.net presents: An evening in aid of Mind – for better mental health

Originalrock.net is streaming live on Facebook a pre-recorded experience in aid of Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/originalrock).

The show will take place on Sunday 5th July 2020, 6pm – 10pm on Facebook live (https://www.facebook.com/OriginalRock247/) and will include some of the biggest emerging talents the music industry has on offer right now.

London’s up and coming alternative pop artist GIRLI will be performing alongside Southampton alternative rock band Toreador.  Southend’s  Asylums are will also be showcasing a set on the evening as well as Layla Kaylif who will be performing her latest single ‘As I Am’.  What’s more, some artists/bands will also answer all of your questions in a special Q & A during the Facebook live stream.

Fresh from her debut full-length album, ‘Odd One Out’, which was released in 2019, GIRLI has also seen single hits with the likes of ‘Deal With It’…

…and ‘Hot Mess’.

Layla Kaylif is set for the release of her new album ‘Lovers Don’t Meet’ on Friday 7th August. Kaylif’s latest single ‘As I Am’, which features on the upcoming album, is coupled with a striking new video, recently filmed in Chinatown, London and various locations across the city.

Asylums are eagerly waiting to release their upcoming album Genetic Cabaret – released via Cool Thing Records on Friday 17th July. Produced by the legendary Steve Albini, this brilliant four-piece from Southend are letting their voices be heard and are coming out swinging on their third album. The band released their latest single ‘Platitudes’ earlier this month and has already received over 25,000 views on YouTube.

 Asylums are: Luke Branch (vocals/guitar), Jazz Miell (guitar), Michael Webster (bass) and Henry Tyler (drums).

Toreador bring together the three-pieces’ signature blend of gigantic guitars, catchy rhythms and butter melting harmonies that evoke comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age and Led Zeppelin. The alternative rock band are set to release to their new single ‘Shiver and Shake’ on Friday 26th June.

Toreador are: Jack Wilson (guitar/lead vocals), Dan Kelly (bass guitar/vocals) and Rob Purkiss (drums/vocals).
