So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
As far as I know, they love the diversity of the songs and the very varied universes that make up the album. We had a lot of our fans who wanted more songs on the album, but I promised them that the next one will be even richer with more songs, who knows, we might release a double album in 2021!
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
We had the chance to work with a very great sound engineer Mr Clive Martin who is also the record producer of this album. Clive worked with Bowie, Queen, The Cure, Sting and many others … Clive is someone very easy to work with, he puts you at ease right away and it helped us work together straight on. A little secret, we recorded on a 24 Analog tracks NEEVE console in 14 days, recordings, mixing, and mastering included!
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
With no doubt, the Foo Fighters because I love the way how Dave Grohl writes songs, he is very inventive and I like his way of transforming simple little rock songs into powerful hits. I had the chance to meet him once during a concert in Paris and he is someone very affordable.
How has your latest release been received?
As I said above, our album was quite well received by the public.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
There are no messages in my songs as they all are personal experiences or personal trips. The songs resonate with the mood you are in at the moment you’ll listen to them or not. You’ll either find them great or find them shitty and that’s fine with me. I don’t remember what really inspires me, maybe it’s all about love and hate and human feelings and stupid things like that I guess. You’ll have to find out I’m afraid!
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
For the moment most of our dates have been cancelled and very little postponed. The future of music is so uncertain now and politicians do nothing to reassure anyone in the profession about our future. Thousands of concert halls are going to be closed purely and simply thanks to this financial crisis that we are experiencing and little or no financial proposals to save this shipwreck. Oh, I forgot… there are some morons who offer concerts in “drive in” mode like those in American outdoor cinemas, I just can’t wait to do that, and you?
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
I am tempted to say, those who will survive, but which ones in particular at this present moment, I have no idea and I don’t think anyone has!
What else can we expect from in 2020?
We will do everything to continue to entertain our audience. We have to stay in the world of solutions if we don’t want to sink. We have hope …
