EP Review: Strange Bones – Blitz Part 2

Fresh from their sold out UK headline tour, Blackpool quartet Strange Bones are releasing their Blitz Part 2 EP on 10th April! This succeeds the release of their Blitz Part 1 EP earlier last year, and with its blistering energy it was the ideal evolution!

The EP opens with ‘NAPALM ÜBER ALLES’, their most recently released single. The electrifying start with elements of distortion make this an interesting listen. This, combined with the dynamic beats give the song an alternative feel, making it a daring track to open with!

Continuing this captivating energy is ‘UNDERDOGS’, a venomous punk track with a disorientating rhythm. The intensity of the introduction gives off a vibe similar to that of The Prodigy, making the song that bit more unforgettable. This song definitely lives on the more hardcore side of the spectrum with the raw, aggressive vocals giving it that extra edge.

‘TEN GUNS’ presents a hybrid of sounds, making it an even more intriguing listen. The marginally softer introduction is deceiving as the brutal chorus comes clattering in, yet again meeting the insane level of energy presented earlier.

This EP is a sonic hybrid of venomous punk and crushing electronica. The innovative sounds make this EP a great representation of Strange Bones, and was the perfect continuation from their prior release!
