Epic Belgian 3-piece BRUTUS reveal their new heavy hitting single, “Sand“. The track comes in celebration of the one year anniversary of their sophomore release, Nest, which was released to overwhelming high acclaim in March of last year and cemented the band as one of rock’s most visceral and promising acts. “Sand” which was initially recorded for Nest, comes with an accompanying video created from live footage of their last show in Ghent just four weeks ago.
This video comes at a time where live music is continuing to be dealt a severely heavy blow, and subsequently the band thought long and hard as to whether it was appropriate to share such a video before being in agreement that there was a positive message here: “If we want to share awesome moments like these again in the near future, we all need to take responsibility about the COVID-19 virus. Stay at home, stay in your Nest, so we can share moments like these again soon.”
The video captures the trio’s intensely emotive live show and Stefanie Mannaerts’ utterly, breathtaking drum and vocal performance. “Sand” is available today via Hassle Records.
