Introducing: Brighton’s Thrillhouse

Brighton-based band Thrillhouse fuses Talking Heads inspired grooves with Arcade Fire’s indie songwriting sensibilities.

Honest, emotive lyrics and an almost tongue-in-cheek instrumental arrangement give ‘One of These Days’ its charm. Loop-driven, repetitive, yet full of surprises, it is as catchy as it is uplifting. The driving drums and hypnotic baseline provide the backdrop for a track soaked in luscious synths and intricate guitars.

One of These Days’ centres around the longing for lost youth, the time and place we watch drift further away as the years go by.

Recorded predominantly in a pokey bedroom in Brighton, the track was finished off in the Silk Mill studios in Staffordshire.

One of These Days’ is the first single released by Thrillhouse, which was out last month on Seymour Butz Records and is the first of a series of releases over the coming months.
