Kamino set for new single ‘The Wire’

Bristol alt rockers Kamino have announced the release of their latest single, ‘The Wire’. Available to stream from Friday 29th November , ‘The Wire’ is the quartet’s second track to be unveiled in 2019, following the surprise release of ‘Snakes’ earlier this year.

Alongside the release of ‘The Wire’ comes the news that Kamino’s brand new EP, ‘Dystopia’, will shortly follow in January 2020.
Soaked in attitude and laden with hooks, ‘The Wire’ is an anthem for the disillusioned – it furthers the lyrical themes of apathy towards the global zeitgeist explored in ‘Snakes’, and sets the scene for the EP as a whole. The track carries all the characteristics of an electro-pop ballad, in its captivating melodies and entrancing synths, and is even stronger proof of Kamino’s penchant for colossal riffs, and thunderous drums.
‘Snakes’, let loose upon the world back in July, is a 3 minute long assault of crushing riffs, gritty keyboard leads and fiery vocals, and sees the band experiment with a punk edge both musically and lyrically, to rave reviews upon its release.

Kamino’s two latest singles perfectly demonstrate the band’s willingness & capability to challenge genre boundaries, following on from 2017’s debut EP ‘Aconite’ – a grungier, darker effort, but with all the trademarks Kamino are becoming known for. With the band’s back catalogue having already caught the ears of BBC Introducing, 6 Music and Amazing Radio, and having been described as ‘idiotic to miss and foolish not to try’ (Ear Nutrition), Kamino have certainly established themselves as one to watch in 2020.
