Harbinger Release New Video ‘Descendants’

Ahead of their appearance at this year’s Bloodstock Festival, Harbinger have released a chaotic live video for ‘Descendants’, taken from their highly acclaimed debut album ‘Compelled To Suffer’. ‘Descendants’ is packed with enough teeth shattering riffs to keep you busy until they take to the stage (11:50 am Sunday, August 11th on the Sophie Lancaster Stage).

“Playing Bloodstock is definitely a bucket list item to tick off. The fact that we have been asked to play the Sophie Lancaster Stage is an absolute honour, and we can’t wait to showcase our new album ‘Compelled to Suffer’ to potentially a new audience. We have a lot to bring people at the extreme end of metal, and hope that people can push through their hangovers and join us for a milestone in our career.”

“Musically, Descendant is an ode to old school thrash. Although it starts off with some slower headbang-centric grooves, it quickly develops into a fast and heavy track that should really get things moving in a live setting. Think ride bell and throwing up your metal horns.

Conceptually the track deals with the idea of passing stories down through generations to learn from past mistakes, but understanding that the past can be viewed through rose-tinted glasses and we can’t take these stories at face value. It has implications on how religion and myth are communicated through generations, and how much credence we give to these concepts.” – Kris Aarre

Harbinger will also embark on a headline UK Tour in October with Scottish tech-death metallers Godeater as main support. Harbinger makes a huge statement in the live environment.
