Bowling For Soup Showcase Their Four Legged Friends In ‘Sometimes I Don’t Mind’ Music Video

Ahead of their long awaited 25th anniversary celebrations taking place next month, pop punk favourites Bowling For Soup have released a new single in time for the festivities.

Released on Friday, “BFS” have unveiled their new track Sometimes I Don’t Mind. Originally released by US punk rockers The Suicide Machines around the turn of the millennium, the track has been given a very special reworking, sounding as much a Bowling For Soup song as some of their biggest hits.

“We absolutely LOVE the Suicide Machines” remarks Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick“This song came off an album that both the fans, and the band look back on with angst. But BFS wore this album out in the van. And I always thought this song should have been huge.

We are doing a cover every month for a year, so I finally got the opportunity to cover it and I am SO happy with how “sometimes I don’t mind” turned out! I sent the video to the singer of the band, Jason Navarro and asked what he thought. He said, “It’s cute, Let it fly!” I don’t think I could have asked for a better endorsement!”

The video for Sometimes I Don’t Mind is a very special one, as it features the four legged members of the Bowling For Soup family, topped off by a very special tribute to guitarist Chris Burney’s old friend and former BFS mascot Sherman. Check out the video right here:

Bowling For Soup’s UK exclusive appearance for 2019 comes at the end of the Summer when they play Reading and Leeds. It was recently confirmed that on their first appearance at Reading and Leeds for sixteen years, BFS will headline the Lock Up Stage, playing Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday, the same day The 1975 headline the main stage.
Here’s what BFS main man Jaret Reddick had to say about their Reading and Leeds return: “Back to where it all began for us in the U.K. I’ll never forget driving up to that festival and wondering “how the heck I ended up in this place.” The tent was packed. People recognized us watching Slipknot and Blink 182…it was the beginning of an amazing relationship with the U.K. and here we are again. Reading and Leeds!!! I can’t tell you how excited we are to be back! I promise we will make it a weekend not to forget!”
