Having recently announced the support acts for their upcoming tour, British quartet The Bottom Line have released another incredible video single taken from the heart of their forthcoming sophomore album ‘No Vacation’, due for release via Marshall Records on 21st June.

‘In Your Memory’ blasts out of the gates with another brightly-coloured fanfare, packed with The Bottom Line’s energetic lashings of pop-punk nostalgia and continuing the band’s onward march as one of many torchbearers for the genre’s modern-day revival. As with their previous single, ‘Gone’, ‘In Your Memory’ pulls more wisdom gained from the band’s experiences during their 2017 tour, which took the four-piece on an epic journey of 71 global performance dates. The dizzying highs and catastrophic lows of the tour helped to shape the band’s upcoming studio album, and ‘In Your Memory’ holds an important place in the story behind The Bottom Line’s upcoming album.

Though some of the songs featured in ‘No Vacation’ were written in a matter of weeks, ‘In Your Memory’ has existed in one form or another for a number of years, with The Bottom Line making various tweaks, edits and improvements to the tune over an extended period of time. With the help of Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral For A Friend, Bullet For My Valentine) – who has produced, mixed and mastered the entirety of the band’s upcoming album – ‘In Your Memory’ has finally been brought to life in a vibrant, exciting and spectacular way.

‘No Vacation’ will release on 21st June via Marshall Records, and The Bottom Line will tour the UK with Weatherstate and Forever Came Calling in early July. Tour Tickets and album pre-orders can be purchased from the band’s website.

The Bottom Line also recently performed Teddy Rocks Festival, a festival that member Tom Newton founded and means a lot to him. We caught up with the band as they talked about their Teddy Rocks performance, upcoming album and more!

So how much did you enjoy Teddy Rocks?

We absolutely loved it. To see the festival go from strength to strength every year is awesome, and to raise well over £100,000 this year marks a new milestone for the festival.
It takes up a fair bit of time to organise and plan the festival, so to see everything come together the way it did made everything so worthwhile. It felt great to kick off the touring for the new album campaign at Teddy Rocks and we hope we can grow it every year going forward.

Tom, was there more to do this year at Teddy Rocks than last?

There’s always so much to do when you’re running events especially an event which continues to grow every year. But even though there is more work in new areas it is always exciting as it tends to be working towards making the overall event even bigger and better

How much does it mean to you having the support of the people and bands behind you?

It means absolutely everything to me without people and bands getting involved we simply do not have an event it is so overwhelming to see the kindness and support from so many people in the industry and because of them teddy rocks has become what it is today it is a massive team effort and there is an army of people involved to pull it off Each year

So you have an album coming up titled ‘No Vacation’. how pumped are you for this?

We are so so pumped to finally drop this record it’s been a huge part of our lives for the last three years and something we have worked incredibly hard and we have put everything we’ve got into this record and I really believe that that shows we just can’t wait to get the music out there and enjoy playing it live and see how the new songs go down

What is your favourite song on the album?

That’s a really difficult question there are a lot of songs that mean a lot to us on that record in fact all of them mean a lot to us. For me personally I think this song reasons is a huge song for us it sums up the whole record and it kickstarts the album with where we’re coming from that song was a real turning point for us when we finished it but also we have a song called like the movies which I’m really excited about we actually played this live at teddy rocks for one of the first times and it felt good playing it live excited to see where that song goes

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

This is a really good question I think for me personally I’d love to do something with New Found Glory those guys are absolute gods of pop punk And I think we can write something pretty cool together it’s always been a life go to get on the road of those guys as well so fingers crossed we get to make that happen one day

You also have a tour coming up, what date catches your eye?

We can’t wait for tour! We love playing absolutely everywhere and this run of shows sees us play at a lot of our favourite places. Really looking forward to playing Leeds at Key club and also very excited to play London
