Neverlanded’s debut EP, F.u.U (FluffyUnicornsUnited), was going released last month on 1st April 2019. The EP, featuring the tracks Brainsane, Scream 4 Ice Cream, This Friend Of Mine and MesS.O.S, will be given away for free to anyone who donates money to Mermaids UK. Check out the EP below!

We caught up with the band as they talked about the latest EP and more!

So how has the initial release F.u.U gone down so far?

The response, so far, from both the general public and those we sent advance copies of our music to, has been very positive. We’ve received some great feedback! As well as our fans, a good number of music journalists have shown faith in Neverlanded, through the offer of media coverage and general support, so we’d like to thank each and every one of you for helping us during the launch of F.u.U.

How did you come up with the name of the EP?

The system puts terror, despair and anxiety in your home through a TV, people are brainwashed that they need medication to make them stop being different, unique and amazing. What if we could all be free, safe and united? What if we could be happy?

What is your favourite track on the EP?

We are unable to choose between our babies.

What’s next for you, will you be releasing an album?

At this point, we’re focusing on representing the band visually. Creating short films, for each song, that will become scenes in a full-length movie. We’ll release a couple of singles later in the year and in the meanwhile, play shows in the UK and around Europe.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

Same way we’d love writing a song with Placebo, cause Neverlanded wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Placebo, we’d also love to work with Arrows of Love. That would be a killer performance.

Have you got any gigs lined up this year?

We play with Tokyo Taboo and Desensitised at Bedford Esquires in June, and Your Mum and Healthy Junkies at the Dublin Castle in September.

Follow us on our antisocial media @neverlandedband to get updated about our shows.

How much does the charity Mermaids UK mean to you?

Supporting those who support kids to achieve greatness is everything. Can we say it means everything to us?

What do you get up to in your spare time when not working on music?

Occupy the mind with doom scenarios, watch animal videos to calm the mind and generally feel stressed ’cause it’s another day on earth. Try to eat, sleep and socialise, without success, then play music and let go… win-win.
