With their forthcoming album ‘No Vacation’ set to brighten up the summer months later this year, British pop punk revivalists The Bottom Line have recently announced support acts for their upcoming UK tour.

Gearing up to take on a number of major cities throughout July, the quartet revealed via social media that they will be joined by Californian pop-rock duo Forever Came Calling (who will perform acoustically throughout the tour) and fellow UK-based punk rockers Weatherstate as they head to Manchester, Birmingham, London and more in the height of summer.

Formed in 2011, The Bottom Line have been dubbed ‘The cockroaches of punk rock’ due to their inexplicable ability to triumph over some of the most challenging hurdles a band can face. 2017 saw the band take on a huge world tour of 71 dates, which coincided with tours with The Offspring and Simple Plan. The journey was not without its difficulties, however, as part of their tour led them onto American soil amid the destruction of Hurricane Harvey. Incredibly, through waterlogged Walmarts, cancelled shows and emergency merch sales to fund their escape from the maelstrom, The Bottom Line came out on top.

Indeed, fans can experience some of the band’s chaotic experiences for themselves through the recently-released music video for ‘Gone’ – the lead single taken from ‘No Vacation’. Commenting further on the inspirations for their latest music video, The Bottom Line state:

“It was a pretty stressful but fun day shooting for the ‘Gone’ Music video. We came up with the idea basically due to the songs meaning.

It’s all about the risks of doing what you want to do instead of what you ‘should’ do. Sitting in an office 9-5 in a job you hate is literally our worst nightmare. We feel like we’ve had some pretty crazy experiences through our music; not all of them positive, but all of them good stories to tell. That’s why we filmed in the style we did. We thought starting at the end and ending at the start gave across that ‘what has happened’ & ‘what could have happened’ vibe. To be honest it’s still a complete head fuck thinking about the whole thing!

Filming the video was pretty much a one shot opportunity so we spent a lot of time practising before giving it a shot. There’s a few hints throughout the video of what ‘should have happened here’ which I guess make it organic, though hopefully we’re the only ones who have noticed!”

As The Bottom Line are anticipating the release of ‘No Vacation’ on 21st June via Marshall Records, so too are Weatherstate poised to unleash their debut album ‘Born A Cynic’, from which they recently unveiled a music video that pays homage to Green Day’s punk rock classic ‘Basket Case’.

In the upcoming union of Weatherstate, Forever Came Calling and The Bottom Line on their ‘No Vacation’  tour, the band express their excitement at the announcement of the full line up:

“We’re really happy about our tour support choice for the ‘No Vacation Tour’. Forever Came Calling was an easy choice when we found out he was interested in heading over to join us on the run. We’ve been fans of the guys for a while & thought it would be the perfect mix of music.

Weatherstate have been buddies of ours for years so it’s exciting to finally hit the road with them. They’ve had some really strong releases recently too so the timing seemed to work well for everybody. This tour is going to be insane!”
