Interview: Life Underfoot

Life Underfoot are a Rock/Punk/Emo band from Owego, NY. For fans of Brand New, Man Overboard, Mineral, Nirvana, American Football, and Blink 182.

Started in late 2016 by two high school friends who had similar interests, musical tastes, and most of all, goals.

The band released EP Peaks and Valleys which you can check out below!

We caught up with the band as they talked about their latest release and more!

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Our EP “Peaks and Valleys” was pretty popular and fans liked it. Can’t complain with what people and our freinds

had to say. Plus what matters more than anything, is that we’re happy with it!

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

We recorded it in New Jersey at The Lumberyard Recording. We got to work with some of our favorite bands.

Man Overboard and The Early November to name a few.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

Well not band but def Alex Gaskarth and Mark Hoppus. We really like the new song they collabed on together.

I feel like we’d make something wicked cool.

How has your latest single been received?

Pretty well we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback. We didn’t release it as a single, but we got a lot of

feedback on our song “Chroma”. Everyone’s including myself’s favorite track.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

“Chroma” it’s a dark somber song about staying positive. Andre had the idea for that constrast. Dark music with positive uplifting

vocals. And like we said, this has just been the one song everyone loved. Andre’s girlfriend said it reminded her of Brand New.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

No tours coming up. But we are joining our friends Brighter Days for their new EP’s release. I believe at Creep Records in Philly.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

Hmm we’re not sure, it’d be rad to be able to play a UK venue this year. They seem to have a lot of cool bands, and love rock music.

Unlike the USA where Rap and Counrty are the rave, the UK seems to value Rock music more which is rad.

What else can we expect from in 2019?

Hopefully we can branch out more, more states. Maybe another country. Who knows, we’ll have to wait and see where this takes

us then!
