Not Ur Girlfrenz Present Music Video For ‘Somehow’

Continuing to pick up new fans by the bucketload wherever they go, Texan power pop trio Not Ur Girlfrenz are bringing you all the brand new music video for their latest single. “Somehow” is the latest single from the bands’ smash hit debut EP New Kids In America, and is a change of pace from some of the other tracks off the EP. To tell you more about it, including getting the green light on the track from their manager (none other than Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick), here’s their guitarist and singer, Liv Haynes:

“At first, I was a little hesitant to write a love song, but when I sat down to write, I felt like the song wrote itself in 15 min. I wanted to be really honest about how I was feeling at the time, and it’s something that everyone can relate to because we’ve all been there. I’m really lucky that Jaret believed in the song and let me record it pretty much the same as it was in my voice memos on my phone. I really hope everybody loves it as much as me and if not, no one asked you anyway ;)”

We’ve heard about the song itself, but how about the video? Here’s some extra info from drummer Maren Alford and bassist Gigi Haynes:

“We’re really excited for people to see a different side of the band because the video is really different than our earlier releases. Seeing everything come together with the lighting, the fog, the sets, and the camera work was such a cool experience and it was amazing to see the vision for the video become a reality!” – Maren

“This was our second time getting to work with the director, Matt Cooper and his crew. Last time we shot “No One Asked You Anyway” (https://youtu.be/Jl1Hz_l9SM4 ), and the videos seem to be getting better and better each time! Plus, it’s always fun to get to hang out with Jaret Reddick! He’s the funniest guy in the world! And there was like 10 pizzas and tons of skittles, so that’s always a plus!!” – Gigi

Not Ur Girlfrenz’ new video for “Somehow” follows their previous singles “No One Asked You Anyway,” “Warped” and “Friends or Memories,” all of which also featured on their debut EP New Kids In America.
New Kids In America can be streamed or purchased for download on SpotifyAmazon and Apple Music. You can also pick up the CD from the band directly
