DnB, Bass & Jungle new home at Boomtown introducing… Relic

Boomtown, the Hampshire based festival known for delivering exceptional and diverse lineups, is coming towards the end of the 12 unique district announcements, with three more to go it has now unleashed a fresh new look to their 20,000 capacity drum and bass arena with the launch of the brand new ‘Relic’ stage.  

Relic has risen from the ashes of the former headquarters of Boomtown’s fictional Bang Hai Corporation; where technology and nature intertwine to breath a whole new lease of life into an iconic stage. Electrical bolts and free flowing data fuse to feed the giant flora to the backdrop of thunderous beats of a heavyweight line-up spanning decades and subgenres of drum & bass and bass across three days.

Ragga-jungle legend Shy FX returns to the festival headlining Relic on the Friday night. He is joined by drum and bass supergroup, Bad Company UK, who are making their Boomtown debut They follow another debut from liquid legend High Contrast, Austrian visionary Mefjus with Maksim MC, prolific producer Break with MC GQ, the interesting pairing of Lenzman b2b LSB featuring DRS on the mic,  Need For Mirrors and dark and gritty sounds from Bristol producer Kyrist.

Headliners Chase and Status take over Saturday with RTRN II JUNGLE, a history lesson in jungle music with a DJ set from themselves as well as appearances from Brockie & Det, Clipz and DJ Rap and exclusive back to backs including Benny L b2bShimon b2b T>.

On Sunday kings of neurofunk, Black Sun Empire will join Calyx and Teebee, Circuits which is made up of InsideInfo and Critical Music boss Kasra as well as stalwarts of the scene Total Science who are going back to back with DLR. Boomtown favourites My Nu Leng return for the Sunday night closing set and promise to take everyone on a very special bass heavy, eclectic musical retrospective of their influences and career so far.
