Barcelona based singer-songwriter Daniel Ruiz turned a change meeting with a woman in a bar in Lyon into a tribute to the art of slow dancing. Nina features Narek Mnatsakanyan on organ and Júlia Martín on drums. “Nina, you know i’m not a dancer but if you insist i don’t mind being taught by you // and as you put my hand in your back i can’t help but wonder // how far could it go”. It’s a slow moving blues song about the missed change for something that could have lasted, but at least he got some fond memories and a good song out of it. – Hans Werksman, Here Comes the Flood.
