Live Review: Snow Patrol at Bournemouth International Centre

Snow Patrol performed to a packed out Bournemouth International Centre last Sunday as the magnificent Kodaline and solo artist Roe supported.

The band took to the stage to cheers from the huge crowd as I looked down with glee to see so many people in the venue. Lots of fans showed number 25 to let the band know that they are aware of the 25th anniversary this year. Latest album Wildness was Snow Patrol’s first in six years so it was interesting to see how fans would react to the news of a tour after such a long time but they certainly came in their thousands.

Snow Patrol played all the hits such Open Your Eyes, Chasing Cars and of course Run as Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody certainly knew how to get a crowd going. Other songs on the night included You Could Be Happy, Empress and the fantastic Shut Your Eyes.

The lasers and lights as well as the projections were just superb throughout the evening .

Then Snow Patrol had a surprise in store for the Bournemouth crowd. As comedian James Corden performed alongside Gary to perform What If This Is All the Love You Ever Get in the encore. If that wasn’t enough, Snow Patrol finished on Just Say Yes which was certainly an amazing way to end such an exciting and enjoyable show.
