Live Review: You Me At Six at Bournemouth’s O2 Academy

You Me At Six released their debut album Take Off Your Colours 10 years ago, and decade later a sold out Bournemouth’s O2 Academy heard the album played in full.

The show was opened by Scottish band The Xcerts, who filled the room with their infectious energy. Up next were Marmozets who certainly didn’t dissapoint as main support as they warmed up You Me At Six perfectly.

After a lot of waiting, Take Off Your Colours was delivered in full, and every single second of it is worth the wait as the packed out crowd couldn’t stop singing along throughout. Classics such as Jealous Minds Think Alike send and Always Attract were a particular highlight for me.

A The Rumour got the crowd wild again, with the song sparking a circle pit and left a lot of fans very happy. The band re-appeared with the longest encore you could imagine. New track Fast Forward was up first as then they played Finders Keepers and Kiss & Tell, two tracks Josh said they couldn’t dream of missing out when playing Take Off Your Colours.

The show ended with Underdog which was a perfect way to end a fantastic night of pure joy.
