EP Review: Devilin Me – I’m Too Young To Be This Old

Following on from Devilin Me’s self-titled E.P (review link below) ‘I’m Too Young To Be This Old’ tramples the same coin shaking, tribal drumming beaten path. ‘I Need A Fucking Holiday’ is a lyrically incisive foul-mouthed frustrated rant while ‘Forgiveness’ has the line I’m a ruined man in a ruined world, my mind’s so twisted it could make milk curl”… genius. ’E.S.A’ calls time on double standards before ‘Fed’ is weather-beaten poetry from the sole of the human shoe. The closing duo of ‘Run’ and title track ‘I’m Too Young To Be This Old’ both crackle with Stephen Brunton’s unmistakable kidney punching musical style and long may he continue to jab the senses with his pitchfork tongue.
