From Athens to London, emerging modern rock outfit 7he 7ouch recently released their new single ‘You Can’. A melodic rock belter with slick guitar licks, popping vocals and a stadium-sized chorus, it’s taken from their upcoming EP Seventyseven, out October 29th.
‘You Can’ follows the debut single ‘Solution’, the first track taken from the upcoming EP. Racing with energy and unmissable hooks, the track was inspired by the political turmoil affecting us across the globe and the extreme ideologies people have on how to deal with the issues.
The band, formed of Constantine (vocals), Stelios (guitar), John (lead guitar), Toni (bass) and Dave (drums), recorded Seventyseven between studios in Athens and London which consists of six explosive tracks, written and performed from their hearts.
With each member bringing influences ranging from old school rock’n’roll through to nu metal, they’ve created a record which pays homage to the past, with huge guitar solos and memorable melodies, whilst ferociously tearing into tomorrow with attitude and force.
7he 7ouch have headlined venues across London, including Camden Assembly, Cargo and Proud and have played Camden Rocks Festival in both 2015 and 2017.
Now stamping their mark as a band to watch, 7he 7ouch will be announcing more shows soon, including a special EP launch show in early November. Check out ‘You Can’ and ‘Solution’ below!
We caught up with the band as they talked about their upcoming EP and more!
How has the initial response been from Solution?
So far very warm and very welcomed from fans of the band and people that haven’t heard of us before. We are getting very positive messages and responses from all over the world and it has been a song that brought us many new fans. It is very rewarding that the fans are getting the vibes and relate to it. Very excited to see what’s next.
How pumped are you for you upcoming EP ‘SeventySeven’?
We are pretty pumped! We couldn’t be more excited. We have been working on this for 2 years now and we cannot wait to share it with the world. We are very proud and pleased with what we have crafted and all I can say is that it sounds BIG and the guitar element is very present.
What’s your favourite single from the release?
All of them songs have a special meaning to us so it would be very hard to pick one. They are our babies, our stories and every single song has a significant meaning to us so we will leave this for the fans to pick their favorite one.
Can you tell us something about the EP no one else knows?
CIA and INTERPOL tried to stop us from releasing it as they claimed that many songs from SEVENTYSEVEN were referring to the current president of the United States and his accomplishments. They failed.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
I’d say probably with the Killers. We all have many different influences and they all vary but there are many many bands that we all love. We saw the Killers last year at The 02 and they took us to an endless colourful journey. Such a great band. Amazing storytellers…So yeah this would be very interesting.
Will you be touring at all this year?
We are having an EP launch show in early November and hopefully will be touring this coming fall
What was the first ever gig you went to?
First proper gig that I remember myself was in 2004 and it was SLIPKNOT in Athens. I was stunned. It was something completely new to me watching 9 hyperactive nutters performing. I think this tour was their peak too – THE VOL 3 Era.
