Antillectual, one of Europe`s most important political punk rock bands, is by no means quitting, or holding back on making new music. On the contrary, the band is drastically increasing their release frequency. Instead of working on material for a complete album, Antillectual will record and release new songs one by one. Today the band presents the first of a series of new singles: Heads You Win, Tails We Lose.
The lyrical content of the song is a response to the current populist wave. Trump’s election and catastrophic policies are part of a worldwide epidemic of right wing politics disguised as anti-establishment movements. The urgent, fast-paced Heads You Win, Tails We Lose is a sharp critique of current events and the impact on this planet and all creatures living on it. Critical times call for critical culture, and Antillectual delivers.
The video for Heads You Win, Tails We Lose shows Antillectual on the Loud & Rising Tour through the Netherlands [side-by-side with Green Lizard and This Means War] last February. The video is put together by Italian video maker Claudio Stanghellini. The single is released in collaboration with Uncle M Music, German label + home of bands like Hot Water Music, Boysetsfire, Stick To Your Guns, Donots + many more.
