Hail the Hatter started when Jonathan Boos and Dax Cartar got together to discuss what they were missing in modern rock. Realising they both had a love for theatrics, wild guitar leads, and the general sense of fun that seemed to be missing from most of modern rock, they decided to form a band. Hail The Hatter recently released their new album Discovering Light. This is the debut album from the Heavy Metal band, bringing good old headbanging fun, ripping guitars, and soaring vocals back to modern Rock & Roll This album will have you banging your head, driving too fast, and drinking way too much beer! You can check it out below!
We managed to catch up with the band as they talked about their latest album and more!
So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
The response has been great. We think fans are really responding to the high energy of the music. We don’t take ourselves too sriously and we don’t write music to a set of rules, and that energy really comes across. It’s just a fun rock and roll album. Which you can get for FREE on our website
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Only two goats were sacraficed in the making of the album!
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Hmm thats a toss up. It would be between Avatar and Greta Van Fleet. The two bands feel like kindred spirits. They do what feels right to them, and they do it well. They don’t fit into any particular box.
How has your latest single been received?
Bone Grin ws our last single, and it also happens to be the first song we wrote. That song was like a blessing from the Rock Gods! It happened so easily. Practically the first night we sat to write it happened. And it truly encapsulates everything the band is about. Nothing compares to hearing a crowd react when you hit the first cords of a song. So the response has been great, and we get regular circulation on local radio with it.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
The idea came from our singer Jonathan. The song is about that supposed friend we all have that will lie to your face and show no signs of it, but underneath the flesh their skull is always grinning.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
We don’t have a tour set in stone just yet. We are working on some options. But hey if any booking agent reads this and likes our stuff, please hit us up!
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
Any where the crowd is hot and the beers are flowing!
What else can we expect from you in 2018?
New music, and hopefully us playing in a town near you!
