We managed to catch up with Libby (Guitar), Claire (Drums) and Charlotte (Vocalist / Bass) as they talked about thier upcoming music video and more!

So how pumped are you for the release of ‘You’ll See’?

We’re SO excited! It’s amazing to see an idea form and become reality. We recorded the single ‘You’ll See’ towards the end of last year and as soon as we heard the polished track we just couldn’t wait to share it with the world. It’ll be released on 12th May with a music video.

Can you tell us something about the single no one else knows?

Before we filmed the music video, we took our band logo to the supermarket to get it printed onto a cake. The cake lady didn’t believe that the logo was ours! We stood in the aisle with our phones showing her our social media pages and video clips of us on stage rocking out!

Will you be releasing an EP/Album this year?

We’ve recorded 4 singles with Sound Hub Studios, that we will be releasing over the rest of the year. They’re each unique in their own way but they all have the edgy Desensitised mark. So once they’re out, we will probably put them together as an EP.

How have Sound Hub Records helped you become the band you are today?

Sound-Hub are fantastic. They support musicians through the whole journey. They provide advice from production to release and after. We love Sound-Hub, the songs speak for themselves. We also love Doug the pug, who was in the studio with us whilst we recorded!

What is it like to be supported by the likes of BBC Radio and Planet Rock?

It is such an incredible feeling to be recognised by organisations such as the BBC and Planet Rock. It means the world to us to be able to hear OUR songs on the public airwaves. We really appreciate all the support we’ve been given so far and hope to continue to share our music with as many people as possible.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

We had a little think about this. We started by thinking about our favourite modern artists that we respect and are influenced by, such as Deap Vally, Honeyblood, The Pretty Reckless… But then we thought about OUR sound, our raw edge and attitude, and decided that we’d make a good fit with Halestorm. We met them backstage at Rock City, Nottingham a few years ago, it was awesome!

What do you get up to in your spare time when not working on music?

-Libby: I’m creative in every sense. I love art, make up and nails, stories – especially those with a touch of magic to them. I love the weekends with my friends, to be honest it all revolves around our band or friends’ bands. I love looking after my mamma’s Chow Chows. And I love visiting new places.
-Charlotte: When I’m not song writing or working to promote the band, I love to read and write stories. I’ve written quite a few short stories and poems, I also worked on a novel but have never managed to finish it yet! Maybe one day. But for me the band is my priority, and I’d rather put my spare time and effort into writing songs that I can be proud of. I also live for the weekend, and love going to gigs with my friends.
-Claire likes rock climbing and going to the gym. Sometimes after a late night band practice Charlotte and Libby will go home to bed and Claire will go to the gym! Claire also loves whiskey, Jack Daniels to be precise!

What was the first gig you ever went?

– Charlotte: My first rock show was the All American Rejects at Rock City when I was 16. I loved everything about it, but for me being a member of the audience looking on just wasn’t enough. I wanted to be the one on the stage singing, having everyone in the audience dancing along to MY songs. That’s around the time that Libby and I decided to start a band.
-Libby: My family are musicians, but for brass bands, so I’ve been going to concerts since I was very young. But my first “proper rock show” was my all-time favourite band, Green Day. I went with Charlotte and it was a pivotal moment, a ‘spiritual’ experience, where we said to each other: “One day, we’ll play stadiums.”
