Winchestival set to return for a second year

After a storming first year, Winchestival returns to Devils Island, North Walls Park on 16th June 2018.

After a very successful debut event, Winchestival is back with a line up that is bigger and better – with internationally acclaimed artists in both the music & comedy arenas.

The festival has added an extra stage, showcasing the best in up and coming bands from across Hampshire, to fit in nicely with the huge main stage which will be hosting the likes of Fickle Friends (whose debut album went in to the top 10 last month) and The Big Moon who were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize 2017 and also won the NME Best video award in 2018.

Backed up by Laurel, Wildwood Kin, Kyko & more, the line up is quite a coup for the event’s second year, which is looking likely to sell out – increasing on numbers from the 3700 people that came year one.

In the comedy tent, there is a host of well known faces, including Seann Walsh – a huge star on the comedy circuit, Matt Forde – star of his own show on “DAVE” and local favourite Paul McCaffrey, plus many more.

And in the daytime, this tent will play host to the fantastic Sofar Sounds.

The disco tent has been super charged this year and will be hosted by Soul Intention, well known for their celebrated boat parties. And in the daytime, Raver Tots will be hosting the tent, introducing The Wideboys – for your chance to throw shapes not toys (with or without the kids!).

The Street Food area has also gone up a level with amazing food from around the world. Wine Festival Winchester will be hosting a “Follow Your Taste” Wine Bar – to go along with the cocktail bar, real ale and cider bar, soft drinks bar and main bar.
Loads of other activities, most of them free, will be available across the day for festival goers of all ages.

They are priced at just £22 for Adults, £10 for 5-17 year olds and Free for Under 5’s.
