EP Review: Kid Klumsy – Spit Your Dummy Out

Kid Klumsy’s debut E.P ‘Spit Your Dummy Out’ is loaded with STP family familiarity and the result is six cuts of the Nineties shaved Pop-Punk. ‘Grow Up’ kicks a musical hacky sack at Sum 41 while ‘24 Hours’ has a haunting stop-start pace while it rages with worker weekday blues. ‘Bully Bullied The Bully’ borrows, begs and robs from a host of styles and turns them into the song of the E.P which will stick to your ears like a pair of spunk filled headphones. The more-ish Nu-Metal flow of ‘Sugar Junkies’ is followed by the 80’s terrace chant lyrics on another tip-top track the beautifully titled ‘Pig Ass’. Release closer ‘Mr Bluey Man’ has an unoriginal albeit enjoyable light verse rocking chorus combo, a style which features throughout most of this impressive debut. Klumsy is a coming.
