Dissonants are a five-piece alternative rock/post-hardcore band from Southampton, UK. Formed in 2017 they wasted no time and spent the year crafting their debut EP, Vultures. The band are thrilled to finally be able to announce that Vultures will be released worldwide on 20th April 2018.
Through the planning and recording, it became apparent they were pouring their heart and souls into the process. Drawing from personal experiences, Vultures touches on intensely personal topics such as coping with depression, anxiety, along with the frustrations and insecurities that many of us face in today’s world.
Musically, each track has it’s own atmosphere, journeying through an effective compromise of heavy guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, harsh vocals and groove-laden drums. Drawing on the bands’ influences, Vultures fuses aspects from a range of musical genres and manages to define itself as a distinctive and diverse debut for the Dissonants.
