A packed out Southampton’s Joiners witnessed and entertaining night of pop punk and acoustic excellence as Seaway, Woes and Lizzy Farrall took to the stage. Also in the attendance was fellow pop-punk band The Bottom Line.

First up was the wonderful Lizzy Farrall as she sung Hollow Friends to start off with which was a beautiful track and sounded great with her acoustic backing band. This followed by Better With and Better Off which were equally as good and certainly gave you goosebumps when watching. A lot of fans turned up to watch her play which was very grateful and explained how she recorded her debut EP at The Ranch in Southampton.

Next up was Pack of Wolves which was a powerful song and it really got the fans to interact with Lizzy. Last up was Broken Toy which again was a solid addition to her set and was a perfect way to end her time on the stage. Overall Lizzy’s set was short but sweet and despite only playing five songs, the artist deserves a lot of credit and no doubt she will headline The Joiners in the coming years. Scottish pop-punk band Woes then took to the stage and right from the start there was plenty of energy! The quartet performed the likes of Losing Time and their latest track Real World which was a treat to all their fans. It was pop punk at it’s finest and Woes performed a cover of Papa Roach’s Last Resort which was just amazing to see and I have to admit despite it being a little shorter than the original, it was a treat to everyone that watched them on the night. Be Alone was also a great addition to the set and it was a proper anthem and could easily be a massive hit with these guys.

It’s no wonder why UNFD signed up Woes as their latest single Real World was an awesome track that reminded of Neck Deep’s earlier stuff and it really provided raw vocals that were perfect for the track. Woes then finished on Winter Sun which was a really upbeat and fast track shortly after the band asked to meet fans after their set to come and say hello. Finally, they finished with Worst Friends which really set the room alive and certainly warmed up the crowd for Seaway. Last on stage was the ever brilliant Canadian pop-punk band Seaway and having seen these before, at The Joiners, I knew I was in for a treat! Seaway started off with a classic of theirs which was Best Mistake and that made way for crowd surfing and mosh pits galore for the rest of the set. The band then played the likes of Something Wonderful and London as fans we really began to connect with fans and lead singer Ryan Locke looked like he was loving every minute of it. Apartment was next from their latest album Vacation which got the packed venue singing along throughout.

After Your Best Friend, the band played a slower song which was Goon and it was a magical moment to hear everyone singing along. Scatter My Ashes Along the Coast, or Don’t then followed before the likes of Neurotic and Stubborn Love. Seaway played another track from Vacation which was Curse Me Out. On the night Ryan thanked fans for coming out on a Tuesday then played the brilliant Shy Guys which also created a lot of buzz in the venue. There was no real encore so Seaway finished on Slam and Sabrina the Teenage Bitch. Check out Seaway’s Apartment performed on the night, below!

The whole night overall was a treat for anyone who appreciates live music and I can see all three acts headlining much bigger venues in the future. Check out a photo gallery of the night below!
