We caught up with drummer Dale as he talked about the latest EP and more!

So how has the single Demons gone down initially?
– The response to Demons has been overwhelmingly positive. Aside from a cover we put out over the summer, it(Demons) marks the first release from the new lineup. It’s also a dramatic step, both musically and lyrically, from previous releases.

Would you say this your strongest track of your EP?
– Strongest is a tough word to pin down; Each track is vastly different from the previous.
Demons is probably the most encompassing in that is has a little bit of everything the EP offers.

How has the release of Resurgence gone?
– It’s been a journey. It’s been a long time coming. We’re all equally excited as we are relieved.

Tell us something about the release nobody knows?
– Those are the things that create inside jokes. Gotta keep something in our pocket!

What is your favourite track from the EP?
– I’m sure each guy would answer differently on these next few. My favorite personally would probably have to be Worth. Clint sounds like an absolute monster.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
– Matt from DVSR on a verse would be cool. I’m a sucker for that Nu-Metal sound.

If you could play at any festival or live venue, where would it be and why?
– Something like Wacken would be pretty surreal.
We’re not picky though. We’ll play anywhere.

What’s the alternative music scene like in Indianapolis?
– The scene here in Indy is full of great bands, a lot of bands are different from each other too. I think that dynamic really brings something special to the scene. We have supportive all ages venues as well like The Hoosier Dome and The Emerson Theater. Overall we have a great scene, I’d really like to see it continue to grow and expand. Its always awesome seeing and talking new faces.

What was the first gig you first all attended?
– While it was with a different line up, the first gig Voices played as a band was with Get Scared, Hearts and Hands, and Farewell, My Love on March 4th, 2014
