Go Primitive release fun video for ‘A Different Person’ Inbox

Midlands four-piece Go Primitive have released the brand new video for A Different Person the explosive second single taken from their forthcoming debut album, Choices, out February 23rd 2018.

It premiered with Punktastic, where frontman Tomm E. Williams spoke about the video, ‘It is a lighthearted play on people’s ‘different person’ or alter ego. It’s a fun play on what could be a serious subject, showing that people have different sides to them.’

The video sees our bewildered protagonist attending a seemingly standard job interview which descends into a surreal and chaotic adventure, as he is taunted by unwanted fantasies about the other potential candidates’ alter egos.

The track itself is an energised rock stomper layered with thunderous riffs and punchy beats entwined with melodic vocal lines and killer guitar solos. Fuelled with attitude, the band state, “’A Different Person’ is about someone showing their unfavourable true colours, shattering the belief of the kind of person you thought they were”.

Hailing from Warwickshire, the four members Tomm E. Williams (guitar/vocals), Adam White (guitar), Dan Teale (drums) and Andy Dove (bass) combine their shared drive and determination to forge a style that has seen them compared to the likes of Foo Fighters and Twin Atlantic.

Working with revered rock/metal/pop producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend, Mötörhead) on the upcoming album they deliver a stadium-sized sound that perfectly reflects their modern rock sensibilities.

Choices is formed of ten high-octane tracks that lead you through their exciting journey so far. “It is the story of the lessons we’ve learned along the way of being in a band. The highs and the lows, the determination and frustration, it is all covered,” explains Williams.

It opens with the previous single I Want More, which was championed by the likes of Kerrang! Radio, Scuzz TV and Team Rock. Elsewhere the band’s love of fantasy and sci-fi horror inspired the likes of Velociraptor, while All I Need and The Best Thing channel themes of friendship, love and loyalty.

Their raucous energy and drive continues throughout the record with the riff-raging
Hold Tight, the stick-to-your-guns fan favourite Pride and the fierce punch of Dirty Little Lies. The album closes with the motivational title-track, which was written about ‘taking control of your own decisions and your own life direction.’

Go Primitive have already achieved plays on Radio 1 and 6 Music following their earlier releases Blueprint EP and 100 Ways EP, and have supported the likes of Mallory Knox, We Are the Ocean, Fort Hope and Lonely The Brave on the road, and landed a set at Glastonbury Festival with BBC Introducing.

Now with Choices, Go Primitive are ramping up to the next level and ready to stamp their mark on the UK rock scene.

You can catch them playing The Zephyr Lounge, Leamington Spa on December 8th following a successful Autumn tour with more dates to come.
