Rising UK trio Kill The Ideal have unveiled the video for their new single Crazy, taken from their self-titled EP, which they released last month.
It premiered with New Noise Magazine who commented, ‘The appeal of this group lies in their ability to garnish steady melodies with powerful lyrics and explosive vocal deliveries. The drum snaps the beats together with strength, not afraid to take charge and surge the band into the next progression.’
The video It features a performance from the band shot in a fresh white room, entwined with humorous and colourful clips to represent the light and dark of every relationship.
‘The video for ‘Crazy’ is unlike anything we’ve ever done before’, explains frontman Ash Wilson. ‘The track itself has a pretty hard message behind it but we wanted to showcase this in a different, lighthearted way. It captures the reality of a broken relationship and explains how we’ve all been made to feel a little crazy at some point’.
‘Crazy’ is the third track from their recently released self-titled EP following the singles ‘Dangerous!’ and ‘Know Your Name’, both of which received rave reviews from Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker.
The six-track EP is a powerful alt-rock record, produced by Lower Than Atlantis’ guitarist Ben Sansom at Titan Studios in Watford. It’s packed with head-banging riffs, infectious choruses and expansive vocals that gives them a momentous yet catchy sound.
Inspired by their day-to-day lives and experiences, a core part of the band’s ethos and lyrical content comes from Wilson’s battle with bullying during his childhood, “when writing the EP, the level of anxiety, anger, confusion and happiness was beyond measure and now it is out for release all I can feel is anticipation!’
It follows their debut Heritage EP, which firmly introduced the band to the UK rock scene where they have toured with the likes of Black Peaks, Decade, Lonely The Brave, Holding Absence and more. They’ve been supported by the likes of Loudwire, Upset Magazine, Punktastic, Total Uprawr and BBC Introducing.
The band have just teamed up with Saviour Management and recently played a sold-out EP launch show in their Lincolnshire home town, performed at 2Q Festival and supported UK rockers Empire at The Crowndale, London last week.
Kill The Ideal are amped up and ready to unleash new music and tour in 2018.
