Live Review: Imelda May at Southampton’s O2 Guildhall

The show started with a singer called Andreya Triana, it was wonderful with just her and the stage (the odd times with a guitarist) – By Imogen Carvell. She was amazing warming the audience up for the most wonderful night!

Imelda had a very good impact on the audience and she got the crowd on their feet by the end of the evening.

She sang songs such as her new debut Should’ve Been You, Black Tears, Inside Out and Bad Habit.

Imelda put on a wild show and made 5 minutes to speak to the audience about fear and love and respect to the people and she made a speech about her crew who was shot and killed in the Bataclan Shooting in Paris in November 2015.

Halfway through the show, she sat on the edge of the stage with the guitarist and just the spotlight singing slow songs including her own hometown Irish song.

After that she said “lets rock” and she meant it! Everyone was on their feet and clapping and being happy!

Defiantly worth watching!
