Yes! We can’t wait. We’re really proud of what we have with this EP. It’s a collection of songs that we wanted to write and the message that we wanted to get across. We hope people enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Can you tell us anything about the EP?
We worked with Peter Miles on the EP. We locked ourselves in his studio for just under 3 weeks in total I believe it was. It’s in the middle of no where with very little to no phone signal which is great… working in an environment where there are no distractions like that can only ever be a good thing. We definitely feel like it comes across in the music.
How has the release of Give Me A Chance gone down with fans so far?
The comments and messages have all been really good yeah! It has become a favourite of ours to play live as well… probably due to the way crowds have been reacting to it. We love to get them all involved during the show and this song seemed to go down well across the European and UK tours we have just finished. When talking to people after the show, hearing how songs effect people in different ways and what they take away from them is really cool. It means a lot that people care about what we do.
How was Teddy Rocks Festival last month, do you think it is a good cause?
Yeah of course! Anytime people come together to help is amazing. It is such an important cause and effects so many people all around the world every single day, it just can’t be ignored. What better way to fight it than with the power of music!?
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Oh mannnn! Tough question… I think you might get a slightly different answer from everyone. I’m going to make the executive decision on this one and say… Linkin Park. I think we would all say yes to these guys, hands down. Apart from all of us being huge fans, their songs, musicianship and live shows are incredible. So yeah, Chester if you ever see this… holla!
What were your first gigs that you ever attended?
The first ever show I went to was Linkin Park at Wembley Arena back in 2003/4 it must have been. ‘Meteora’ had just been released, it was incredible. That was the moment I knew I had to do this. My first standing gig was in 2004 when I went to see The Used at Brixton Academy… absolute mayhem!
Who has the best fashion sense out of you guys?
Well, obviously that would be me (Josh)… HA… no I’m only joking… kind of. We actually all have our own little things going on, especially live. We have a theme on stage and then bring our own personalities to that. To answer your question though, I will have to say Katy. Just so she doesn’t give me the silent treatment!
Will there be a tour to coincide the release of the EP?
We love playing live more than anything so touring is always at the top of our list. Keep your eyes peeled!
How pumped are you for Camden Rock Fest?
It’s always a big day when Camden Rocks comes around. So many bands in one place, always a good day!
What does it mean to you getting acknowledged by the likes of Radio One?
Radio 1 is definitely something we have always had our sights on, ever since we started. It’s a huge deal and we can’t thank them enough for the support that they have shown us so far. Whenever you get played on the radio it feels good but Radio 1 is special for sure yeah!
What was your funniest moment while recording the latest release?
I don’t think it has anything to do with music actually! We lived there while we were recording it in a separate building next door to the main room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs and upstairs is a place to chill with a pool table. We spent many hours through the night playing pool. We were setting up stupid trick shots at 2/3AM. We only managed to do one… in that time, Sean smashed it. In all honesty, you had to be there. I’ve actually got videos on my phone… maybe we should upload them sometime!
