New York Based Rock/Metal band :::KILLCODE::: has released the official Music Video for Kickin’ and Screamin’ off their newest full length album, The Answer, produced by Joey Z (Life Of Agony). Directed by David Swajeski and produced by Maryanne Grisz, The video feature footage from their 2016 world tour.
KILLCODE, founded by vocalist/frontman Tom Morrissey and guitarist Chas, laid down the KILLCODE foundation with a couple of tracks they recorded at their home studio. After listening back, they knew they were on to something big! Next up would be recruiting long time musical companion Erric Bonesmith on bass guitar and Rob Noxious on the drums to complete their rhythm section.
With all members coming from established projects prior to KILLCODE, the band quickly raised eyebrows and landed on bills with the likes of Godsmack & Sevendust. KILLCODE also provided main support to Brett Scallions on the Re Fueled East Coast tour. Check out their new single below!
We caught up with vocalist Tom Morrissey who talked about the band’s latest single, funniest moment while recording their latest album and more!
How has the music video for ‘Kickin’ and Screamin’ gone so far?
It’s been great ! It’s awesome to be able to share our touring experience with the world !
Tell us a little bit about the track
“Kickin’ & Screamin’ is a real deal, classic, straight ahead Rock&Roll song. It’s the type of rock that we grew up on that makes you want to drive a little faster, scream a little louder and party a little harder with your fists in the air”
How did the release of The Answer go?
The response to the songs has been amazing! Right now it’s just available through our website and shows and we are looking for label to distribute it to the masses.
What was your funniest moment while recording this?
One of the funnest moments was recording the “Chorus”. Always great to get a bunch of people in the studio to do gang vocals and it helped capture the mood we were going for .
Will there be a tour at all soon?
Yes we have several dates scheduled around the world so far and will be adding more soon (dates at bottom)
What got you into music in the first place?
I’ve always been a huge fan of music (all genres) and have been singing since I was a child. In my early 20’s I hit a crossroads as far as what I wanted to do with my life. Go the normal route with a 9-5 and punch the clock or pursue my dream of being in a band as a career and not a hobby. I chose music and never looked back ?
If you could work with any band on new music, who would it be and why?
“The Who” – They encompass everything I love in a band .
What was your first ever gig you went to ?
The Allman Brothers at Jones beach- NY
What has been your proudest moment as a band?
Playing in Mexico City last year in front of 60,000 people who had their fists in the air while screaming KILLCODE!
