Johnossi release new single ‘Hands’ + announce headline London show

unnamed

Swedish duo Johnossi release their brand new single today (20th January), entitled Hands. A soaring indie-rock anthem, with chiming guitars and singalong chorus, its radio-friendly nature belies the song’s subject matter, where singer/guitarist John Engelbert addresses police brutality from both the victim and the perpetrator’s perspective.

Johnossi have also announced a second London headline show at Oslo, Hackney on February 15th. This follows their astounding sold out headline show at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen in November.  The Oslo show takes place two days before the release of their forthcoming album Blood Jungle, through Polydor on February 17th.

The platinum-selling superstars have clocked up multiple industry awards in their native country, and with the global release of Blood Jungle are now stepping on to the international stage with all guns blazing. They head to the US next week with two shows in New York at Baby’s All Right on January 25th and the Mercury Lounge on January 26th. This will be followed by an extensive 24-date European headline tour starting in March.

Blood Jungle is bigger, bolder, brighter and looser than its predecessors, full of light and ambition. The album finds Johnossi venturing into unexplored territories, embracing new opportunities and working with some of their talented friends from the Swedish music scene for the very first time, whose credits include the likes of Lana Del Rey, Miike Snow, Robyn, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Ellie Goulding, Avicii and Pink among others.

On Blood Jungle Johnossi have mastered more shades, moods, emotions, colours and flavours than ever before, making a huge statement as they take on the rest of the world with their most expansive record to date.
