Liverpool’s FROM INSIDE are set to officially launch themselves on 13th January with their long awaited debut EP The New Era. Drawing comparisons to Bring Me The Horizon and old school Linkin Park, the band are trying to ‘bring alternative music back to the mainstream market’ with visions of emulating success of bands from the nu-metal era of the early 00s. The band will be performing alongside WSTR i(acoustic set) tomorrow evening at The Magnet, in Liverpool You can check out the band’s latest single Be Yourself, that was released today, below!
We managed to catch up with From Inside as they talked about the upcoming EP, fans, proudest moment and more!
How pumped are you for the release of ‘The New Era’
We are beyond excited to finally get this release out into the world. It’s a piece of true passion that we’ve all slaved over: blood; sweat; tears; the lot. We just hope it’ll mean as much to our fans as it does to us.
How long did it take to write this EP?
The EP has been a little more than a long time coming, to be candid. We’ve overcome some real hardships that have stood as hurdles for the band over the last 2 years or so, losing and recruiting members included. However, were all the more grateful for that time to really iron out creases in our music to make sure this first EP will be perfect for our fans.
What is your favourite song from the release?
Its been hard to narrow it down, but we’ve all grown to unanimously love our newest single “Be Yourself” – you can watch the video via our facebook or youtube channel.
Tell us a little bit about the EP Will there be a tour to go with the EP?
Right now, we’re not getting too big for our own boots and letting the EP run it’s course before we put huge tour promises into the mix. As we’re still just starting out Tours are such expensive things to do, if there’s going to be nobody in the venues we play. Right now we just want to get our name out there and grow our fan-base online before we take the world by storm.
How much does your fans mean to you guys?
What can we say? Without our fans we wouldn’t continue to grow day by day. They are everything to us and we’re eternally grateful for all of their support.
What has been your proudest moment to date?
Our proudest moment to date was getting our first single and music video “Find My Way” out into the open. As mentioned earlier, this has been such a long and arduously testing experience, at moments even destroying us, but we overcame and grew closer and stronger from it.
If you could work with any artist/band on a song, who would it be and why?
Linkin Park for sure! Well only if they decided they wanted to take it back to their first couple albums. They were pretty much everyone from our generations favourite band growing up so its a no brainer.
