Formed of Benji Yapp (Vocals), Damo Darby (Bass) , Brad Potter (Drums), Jim McCormack (Guitar)and Luke Astley (Guitar),  Birmingham Pop Punk group YOU KNOW THE DRILL recruited Youtuber ‘Mr Lewzer’ to appear in video for new track ‘Less Than You’ from forthcoming debut EP Losing Streak, set to be released on 28th October via Scylla Records which you can pre-order now

Initially starting out as a hobby and having only previously released a few tracks they regard more as demos, Yapp declares: “We don’t like to take ourselves too seriously and feel that music is very often approached with a straight face, which is why we try to infuse as much fun and laughter into everything we do, whether it’s music videos, our live shows or even just hanging out with fans.”

When discussing guest Youtuber appearance, the band said “For the video we knew we wanted to go for something comical, so when our bassist came up with the idea of us all playing roles on all these different television shows, we knew it would fit the theme perfectly. For the role of the channel flicker, we were lucky enough to have Lewis Hancox AKA ‘Mr. Lewzer’ play the part. His involvement was fairly spontaneous as we knew we wanted to get him involved, but never really expected him to be so keen after we reached out to him. Luckily he is a big fan of pop punk!”.

They also described the meaning behind the track: “Lyrically, the song is about getting to a certain point where you aren’t sure what you’re doing with your life, which ultimately leaves you feeling left behind while everyone else around you progresses with their own.”
