Faux set to release new EP

Faux

Since the release of their debut EP Patterns last year, things have been getting bigger and better for Faux. Having played to over 14,000 people in their hometown, racking up over 12,000 views on their video for single Swimmingly, supporting the likes of Black Peaks and Turnover and beating off competition to perform at Rob Da Bank’s Festival Common People, you could say that Faux are making all the right marks on the music scene.
Now, the Southampton dirty-pop outfit are excited to deliver their brand new EP Inhale (out 5th August) to your ears. The EP, which will be released via Speaking Tongues (Digital) and Through Love Records (Vinyl) was recorded with and produced by Neil Kennedy at The Ranch in Southampton (Milk Teeth, Creeper, Bad Sign) and really builds upon Faux’s unique style of math-pop-rock. Lee Male’s voice has a distinctive pitch about it, while the fuzzy guitars guide you through each track and James Cross’ excellent percussion work brings it all to life.

Tracklisting:
1. Inhale
2. Nerves
3. Call
4. You Know
5. Swimmingly

Of the EPs influences, Lee said: ‘Inhale is about the coming to terms with your actions upon relationships.

‘It’s easy to feel as though you tried your best to hold a friendship together when you’re constantly comforting yourself with the feeling it was just not meant to be. The title track talks about the confinement of anxiety.

‘One of those days where you have let it get the better of you and it’s escalated to the point of not being able to leave the house or explain to your friend why you won’t be able to hangout with them this evening, all you want to do is take a deep breath and live like you know you can.’

The band also recently revealed the video for title track Inhale, which racked up over 8,000+ views in two weeks! You can check it out tomorrow
