So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
Hi guys, and thanks for this interview. I’d say our first Album ‘Pussycats and Monkeymen’ went pretty well. We released the album on major streaming platforms and also as a CD and did some’ promotion, which is essential for an independent band. Thanks to streaming they listen to us all over the world, especially, in addition to Europe, in South America and the United States.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Well, we have something really cool ready to explode! We just finished mixing and mastering our new single, which will be part of our next album, and more songs are in the works. We can’t wait to release it. It’s powerful, different from what we’ve done so far, but still very Monkey Intrusion.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
It would be fantastic to work with the Foo Fighters. They know and respect the rock tradition, but they always have a modern sound and don’t get tired of experimenting. Their approach to songwriting, arrangement and their groove is awesome. We like quite everything what they released so far.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the release?
Pussycats and Monkeymen was born to tell disparate stories, sometimes existential, often dystopian and surreal, to try to express what the band really is like. What we like, what moves us. That’s all. And the songs are the best we’ve written in recent years.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
We’d love to play abroad and are trying to organize ourselves. But for now, we’ll only perform in Italy, sorry. You’ll have to take a trip to beautiful Italy to see us or settle for our music to listen to.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
We like clubs, whether small or large, and small theaters. We’re not well-known enough to perform in big venues. Playing festivals with other bands is great, but being able to look the audience in the eye and watch them dance and move for a couple of hours thanks to your music is priceless.
What else can we expect from you in 2026?
Well, we have something really cool ready to explode! We just finished mixing and mastering our new single, which will be part of our next album, and more songs are in the works. We can’t wait to release it. It’s powerful, different from what we’ve done so far, but still very Monkey Intrusion.
