
Huge news for fans of The Clash! 2nd October 2026: The World According to The Clash is a compilation featuring 11 of The Clash’s most celebrated tracks which will be released on 13th November by Sony Music. Originally distributed in 1982 to US-only radio stations, The World According to The Clash has never previously been made publically available.
Over a brief five-year period, The Clash – Joe Strummer vocals/guitar, Mick Jones guitar/vocals, Paul Simonon bass and drummer Topper Headon – played incessantly, wrote and recorded prolifically and released 5 albums of the most expansive and influential music of the era.
Released in ‘79 in the UK and ’80 in the US their LP London Calling was voted Best Album of 70s in NME and Best Album of the 80s in Rolling Stone.
Prior to the release of Combat Rock in 1982 which became their biggest-selling release, The World According to The Clash was prepared for US radio DJs with stand-out tracks from their history added to form the upcoming album. Now newly remastered, The World According to The Clash features new artwork designed by the band.
The World According to The Clash gives new fans the chance to discover the catalogue of one of the most influential bands in rock music history. For existing fans, the official release also offers the opportunity to own a newly presented and remastered edition of a unique and sought-after piece of The Clash’s history.
