Single Review: ILLT – Fuel for the Gods

It’s very interesting when a band and a song is handed to you, and you have never heard of them or what they sound like. This is sometimes the perfect way to hear a band and song as you can open your mind with no pre concept of what you should be hearing. At six minutes and forty seven seconds the journey takes to a feeling of stepping into a different future world. I imagined I was stepping onto the Death Star and George Lucus didn’t write Star Wars in the mid seventies in a sunny L.A, but had fought against driving wind and stinging rain on a deserted landscape in Scandinavia.

A mix of being lost with no hope as the gattaling guns rage overhead and your to scared to lift your head over the crest of the moonscaped valley. But your not being attacked as there is a wonderful gentle side to what’s filling your mind, this onslaught is on your side and you will rise and move forward to another day. Music is perfect if it moves you. I could drop in some bands I think it could have been influenced by but that’s an easy option. It took me on a ride and made my mind explore what it felt. I will be definitely checking out this band more.
