CREEPER today unveil a brand new video for ‘Parasite’, the arena-sized goth anthem taken from their acclaimed album ‘Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death’. It arrives as the band prepare to embark upon their ‘Off With Their Heads!’ tour, which promises to take their ever-theatrical live spectacle to the next level as they bring the characters and themes of the ‘Sanguivore’ story to life.
The band’s vampire familiar, Darcia, teased the video last week by sharing footage of Creeper’s videographer Harry Steel. In a gloomy, hostage-style clip, Harry revealed that he had spent much of the previous ‘Sanguitour’ tour turning his camera away from the band and towards the fans, suggesting there might be consequences for his actions: “If I don’t make it out, this is goodbye.”
Titled ‘For The Lovers’, the new ‘Parasite’ video showcases the intensity of Creeper’s live performance while putting the focus firmly on the fans who make their shows what they are. From screaming every word and losing themselves in the moment, to those who arrive in elaborate costumes and make-up inspired by the ‘Sanguivore’ world, the video celebrates the unique connection between Creeper and their audience – the friendships and community that have become such an important part of the band’s ‘frightfest’ live show.
Frontman William Von Ghould says, “We realised pretty quickly that the real drama of these shows was happening in front of the band, in the crowd, rather than onstage. So Harry turned the camera around and focused on the people watching us. The video is really a love letter to the fans of this vampire era. The costumes, the dedication and the emotional connection people have with these songs have made this whole world feel far bigger than we ever could have imagined, and Harry has captured that perfectly.”
Creeper have also announced that Harry Steel will capture their upcoming London show on Oct 9th for the band’s first-ever full-length live concert film.
William adds, “We’re also very excited to announce that Harry will be making a brand new full-length Creeper concert film. This tour is set to be the most ambitious of our career, and we’re thrilled to have Harry there to capture it. We’ve never made a full live film before, so this feels like a pretty special opportunity to document this era properly.”
Creeper will bring their ‘Off With Their Heads!’ tour to the following venues, with limited tickets remaining HERE. The band will then head to North America for an extensive run of dates as special guests to Hawthorne Heights.
