Rave In the Name Of….

‘You have the mind of a devil and the tongue of a snake’

Dearly beloved, we gather today to witness a renewal, to revisit something long buried in the inbox of the forgotten. A group of unsuspecting persons of interest answered the call to obliterate their collective existence, here in Robannas Studios in Birmingham.
We offered ourselves up for the sacrifice under the steely gaze of local heavies Nameless, as they resurrected an old tune that sat in their back catalogue, all sad and lonely.
Armed with Mr Sheen, a bit of spit and polish and a motley crew assembled like a band of unhinged avengers, we helped bring it back to life and now it is yours, for keeps.

The single ‘Obliterate’ is about control, it is about feeling consumed by negativity and the stress that you absorb from your environment. The lyrics read like a literary classic for the modern era. They are like a fine wine, they swish and swoosh around your mouth, they race down your oesophagus and sit neatly in your belly, they hurt, but that ache is nothing compared to the damage you have already endured.
Singer Jordan Dreadful Ebanks explains

‘A major theme throughout the song is emotional manipulation and exploitation. My antagonists, if you will, appear to thrive on control and power, presenting a ‘picture perfect’ version of themselves to the outside world while privately draining energy, happiness and self-worth from those around them.’

He is joined by Lewis James on guitar, Liam Brain on bass and Nick Cox on drums, to form a vehicle that can negotiate the rugged and sometimes inhospitable terrain of an industry that needs to show up for bands on a fair and equal footing.

With Kieran Marc pointing the camera like an offensive weapon and Jake Bennet adjusting the lights so we could dance in an exquisitely deranged fashion, gliding through the darkness, it was a day that we will remember and cherish for a long time to come.
Behold some dainty but dodgy two-stepping from yours truly, ahem- we raved and moshed until the cauldron bubbled over and we had no more left to give. Tired but incredibly fun and fulfilling, we left feeling like we had done some good that day.
I know I bang on about the grassroots, I can’t help it, don’t let it die, seek it out, show you care, because I cannot even think about a world where there is no music.
With a new album in the works, have a taste of some ‘Floor Noise’ and contemplate your life choices. Add your name to this list, adjust your settings, calibrate your senses and testify.

From my obliteration to my regeneration, still you’re too blind to see the fucking mess that you made.

‘And I will pray for you, someday I may return’

Amen to that.
