Boomtown: A festival full of colour, good vibes and smashing energy
I attended boomtown fair this weekend and submerged myself into the good vibes and the storyline boomtown brings. It is like walking into a whole new town with workers acting the storyline, loads of things to do and side quests and multiple big or hidden stages.
As soon as I arrived, there was colour everywhere. Everything was decorated so colourfully and with such intricacy. Well thought out decorations, the outfits the workers and the festival goers were wearing and all the details made it so worth while and to remember. More than a festival, an experience.
Such a good atmosphere and everywhere you looked, everyone was having fun, dancing and laughing with each other. Multiple interactions of characters with boomtowns new residents. Busy crowds making the energetic huge made it even better.
The music was well put together! Many amazing people! Some highlights were Vengaboys, madness, Eve, Shaggy, Ashnikko, Princess Nokia, Shy Fx, Subfocus, Notion, Emily Makis, Red Light, Skrillex and many more!
There was so many vendors offering such delicious food options and catered for so many people. People were handing trinkets out everywhere you went and they were so well thought.
The weather also played its part, giving us the perfect backdrop for a weekend of music, dancing and exploring. With the sun out, the colourful surroundings and crowds seemed even more alive.
What I loved most about Boomtown, though, was that it felt so unapologetically itself. It celebrates creativity, individuality and having fun, and you can feel that everywhere you go. Whether it was the music, the decor, the people, the food or the random little surprises along the way, there was always something to discover.
I would so go to Boomtown again as there are so many different genres of music, vibes of people, tastes of food and just such a loving place to be!
