As the days get longer and festival season rolls into the South Coast, Southampton Summer Sessions 2026 is gearing up to bring another unforgettable run of live music to the city. Returning to Guildhall Square this June, the open-air concert series promises an eclectic mix of legendary names, indie favourites, dance-floor anthems and singalong classics, transforming the heart of Southampton into one of the region’s must-visit live music destinations. Running across select dates from 12–27 June, the popular event once again offers music fans the chance to experience world-class performances in an intimate city-centre setting.
This year’s line-up spans generations and genres. Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald kicks things off with her heartfelt anthems, while Britpop lovers can immerse themselves in the orchestral sounds of Alex James’s Britpop Classical. Dance music fans are in for a huge night when Pete Tong brings Ibiza Classics to Southampton, promising hands-in-the-air summer energy. Meanwhile, legendary acts including The Beach Boys, Paul Weller and Billy Ocean ensure there’s plenty of nostalgia alongside timeless hits.
Rock and alternative fans are equally well catered for, with a powerhouse co-headline show from Skunk Anansie and Garbage, while pop-punk favourites Bowling for Soup join forces with Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls for what could be one of the liveliest nights of the series. Closing proceedings, Scottish favourites Deacon Blue will bring feel-good classics to Guildhall Square alongside special guests The Lightning Seeds.
