Interview: Red Giant

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Really, Really well. The response we have received has been nothing but positive so that’s a great thing.

We are so proud of it and so grateful to everyone who has bought it so far.

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

Technically its a 5 song EP. We added a bonus track to the psychical copy only called ‘The Drummer From Spalding’ which is a one take jam we did in the studio.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

It would have to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers as John, Flea, Anthony & Chad have been a hige influence on me.

Another band would be Alice in Chains.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the release?

There are many meanings behind every song but it all boils down to the feelings of loss, alienation and the terrifying fear of what the future will bring. Songs like ‘It’s All Gone Wrong’ really hammer these feelings home.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

None as of this year as we wanted time to work on our next album, but hopefully we can get something sorted for 2027.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

We love so many venues it’s really hard to pin it down to one, but The Flying Circus in Newark is a venue we like to call home. We always say The Beatles had The Cavern, Oasis had The Boardwalk, we have The Flying Circus.

What else can we expect from you in 2026?

More gigs and hopefully more single releases. We have plans that we are really excited about.
