Rachael Sage Joins The Overtones’ 15th Anniversary Christmas Party Tour With Powerful New Album ‘Canopy’

When The Overtones hit the road this winter to celebrate their milestone 15th anniversary, they won’t be taking the stage alone. Joining them across the UK will be genre-defying singer-songwriter Rachael Sage, bringing her vibrant live energy and critically acclaimed sound to what promises to be one of the most uplifting tours of the year.

Sage arrives fresh from the release of her new full-band album Canopy (out 24 October via MPress Records), a bold and beautifully crafted record that blends folk-pop, Americana, and lush cinematic arrangements. Described as her most dynamic work to date, Canopy explores resilience, connection and radical inclusivity, themes that feel tailor-made for the communal spirit of a Christmas tour.

Known for her electric live performances, Sage has shared stages with the likes of Ani DiFranco, Beth Hart and Imelda May, and recently wowed audiences on Hue and Cry’s 40th Anniversary Tour. Backed by The Sequins, featuring Sarah Jean on violin and Katie Marie on percussion, she delivers shows that are both sonically rich and emotionally charged. Expect soaring piano hooks, spine-tingling strings and lyrics that cut right to the core.

This pairing isn’t accidental. While Sage brings soul, storytelling and social conscience, The Overtones deliver the feel-good factor in spades. Since their formation, Mike Crawshaw, Darren Everest, Mark Franks, Jay James Picton have built a reputation as the UK’s premier vocal harmony group, with six Top 10 albums, 13 sold-out tours, and a loyal fanbase that spans generations. Their Christmas Party Tour has become a seasonal highlight, a heady mix of festive classics, Motown grooves, and timeless pop delivered with undeniable charm.

This year, the celebrations are bigger than ever. To mark their 15th year together, The Overtones are pulling out all the stops, with extra sparkle, surprises, and the kind of crowd-pleasing setlist that turns a night out into a memory.

Running from 5th November to 10th December, the tour will see both acts lighting up stages across the UK, from Southport to Southampton.
