Howl When Your Heart Is Breaking

Well, mine was and now it isn’t as I sound the rock xylophone, break out the Dundee cake, and Maxwell House and I’ll see you at matron’s for tea. The undeniably cherubic and exquisitely vampiric Mikey and Bailey from As Sirens Fall return with a brand, spanking – erm- new single with The Howling. It’s called ‘Little Promises’ and my word the expressions here, allow me to have a coronary, I deserve it.

‘And a little girl left all alone is shaking in her sleep tonight’

Hugely popular on Great Music Stories under the watchful eye of Guy Bellamy, these young ruffians were a delight, and not surprisingly band of the year on The Friday Rock Show.
That top lip quiver/snarl at 0.23, the exasperated forearm across the forehead at 0.52 before which the chorus explodes at 0.39 causing all kinds of damage, aural, cranial, visceral, neurological – kill me now!
It is a new chapter in their story, one which is causing rumblings in the necessary areas and playing havoc with your internal organs, as it should be. These horror inspired howlings are here to read us our purgatorial rites, through their blood red lips, full of Gothic disgrace, it is a vision that never misses. With Lestat on drums, this is a gigantic slice of Emo eccentricity, be ready to catch them live early next year on 22nd January – Blondies London and 29 January at Castle Hotel in Manchester.
Until then, run out into oncoming traffic and pledge your allegiance to these outliers, prepare your wardrobe for the attack of the red and the black and feel your bloodstream stand to attention as the laws of thermodynamics are defenestrated. You’ve been warned.
Hold onto your little emo hearts, as little promises will lead to big things, I promise.
